Nature! The Serious, The Fun.

Hello, Iโ€™m Kio Whitten, a student at Emory University and a Manager/Planner at GFGC. This blog is a combination of all the knowledge I have had to privilege to gain from my experiences, classes, and personal research. I am an Atlanta native and have been working with GFGC since high school. I have always been passionate about nature and gardening since middle school and have loved learning about various methods of cultivating food and learning how to help my community. The โ€œEnvironmental Justiceโ€ Blog will have some heavy topics, talking about justice movements and issues stemming from Atlantaโ€™s varying infrastructure and looking at global movements. The โ€œPlant, Farm, and Growโ€ Blog will be the long awaited information page about GFGC tips about how to start a garden, what plants are best to grow for certain uses or with certain factors and more! Though the start of the blog post will mostly be from me, with time I am hoping other GFGC students and staff would like to join!
